Two Held with ₹10.78 Lakh Fake Currency in Guwahati

In a Monday night operation, police arrested two men near Brindaban Dham, Rupnagar, with Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) worth ₹10.78 lakh. The accused, Ikramul Islam (28) and Khursed Alom (32), tried to flee on a scooter but were caught. The operation, led by DCP Kulendra Nath Deka, was assisted by senior officers. The fake notes were recorded via the e-Sakshya app, and the duo was handed over to Bhangagarh Police for legal action.
