ULFA-I Claims Responsibility for Tinsukia Camp Attack

The banned outfit ULFA-Independent has claimed responsibility for the grenade attack on a police commando camp in Tinsukia, calling it “Operation Bujoni”.

The group said the strike was a response to continued security operations against its members, despite its earlier suspension of attacks.

The ambush at Jagun injured four Assam Police commandos, with reports indicating some are in critical condition.

Security forces have launched intensified operations, and a high alert has been issued across Upper Assam amid concerns over rising militant activity.
