Veer Lachit Sena Members Arrested for Disrupting SSC-GD Exam in Guwahati

Six members of the controversial Veer Lachit Sena were arrested for obstructing candidates from appearing in the SSC-GD examination at E Com Tower in Guwahati’s Borjhar. The group restrained candidates, questioning their Assam residency, leading to a chaotic situation and causing five candidates to miss their exams. Police intervention resulted in the arrest of three identified members – Tapan Kumar Sharma (47), Jayanta Sharma (21), and Rajesh Deori (28) – while the identities of the other three were not immediately disclosed. Legal action has been initiated based on an FIR filed by one of the affected candidates, Dharmendra Chauhan, from Karbi Anglong district.
