Villagers Repair Dilapidated Road, Appeal to Assam CM for Help

Frustrated by inaction from authorities, residents of Raghunandanpur’s Kamarpara in Bongaigaon district repaired a 2-km earthen road themselves. Despite repeated pleas to officials and the panchayat, no action was taken, leaving the road impassable during rains.

On December 22 and 29, villagers, mostly farmers, worked together to repair the road and dig drains. The women appealed to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through the media, urging immediate attention to their plight.
