When compared to other states, Assam’s power tariff is lower: CM of Assam

According to the chief minister, the state only generates 400 MWs of power at a cost of Rs 9, so the domestic tariff is lower than in other states.

“On issues related to power consumption across households where smart metres have been installed, consumption has dropped dramatically to 60%, which is actually very positive because people are now alert and use power judiciously,” said Sarma.
