Wife of Guwahati Hotel Bilas Inn Shooting Accused Surrenders Before Dhemaji Police

Dhemaji, October 31: Junmoni Gogoi, wife of Ghanakanta Gogoi, the prime accused in the Hotel Bilas Inn shooting case in Guwahati, surrendered at Dhemaji Sadar Police Station on Saturday morning. She had been missing since the incident, which claimed five lives and left one person injured. Earlier, she reportedly claimed that her husband had opened fire in self-defence.
Meanwhile, Ghanakanta Gogoi remains in seven-day police custody and is being questioned by a Special Investigation Team (SIT). Police suspect a financial dispute over the hotel lease may have triggered the shooting at Ulubari on October 26. Further investigation is underway.
