Wild Boar Attack Injures Three in Sootea Near Kaziranga

Panic gripped Sootea after a wild boar strayed from the Sixth Addition of Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve and attacked three villagers on Tuesday evening. The injured—Parag Bordoloi, Sanjib Saikia and Niku Saikia of Malargaon—were assaulted while returning with their cattle from a paddy field.
They were first taken to Biswanath Chariali Civil Hospital and later referred to TMCH for advanced treatment. Forest Department and police teams reached the spot, and the animal was later killed following standard protocol.
