Wild Elephant Falls Ill Near Numaligarh, Under Treatment

A wild elephant was found in distress near Numaligarh after roaming in an ill condition in the Deithor area of Karbi Anglong district on Saturday. On Sunday, the elephant collapsed unconscious inside the Numaligarh tea garden.

Forest Department and rescue teams provided medical treatment, and the elephant remained unconscious for nearly five hours. Officials said its condition improved by evening, though it has not fully recovered yet.
