Wild Elephants Damage Paddy Fields in Golaghat’s Ger Dhora Village

Panic spread in Ger Dhora village, Golaghat, after a herd of wild elephants entered the area late Monday night, destroying several paddy fields. Villagers managed to drive them away using fire and loud noises.

No injuries were reported, but residents fear the elephants may return. They urged the Forest Department to increase monitoring and implement measures to prevent future conflicts.
