Wild Elephants Wreak Havoc in Assam Village Due to Food Shortage

Shortage of food has driven wild elephants out of Manas National Park into a village in Assam’s Bijni on Saturday night. Two elephants strayed from the park, causing destruction in the village by trampling banana plantations and eating stored paddy inside houses. This havoc has continued for four days, with locals claiming that forest officials have ignored their repeated reports of the situation.
