Woman Found Dead Near Ganesh Temple in Khanapara Identified as Jeena Baishya

Guwahati: The woman’s body recovered near Ganesh Temple in Khanapara on Saturday, November 7, has been identified as that of Jeena Baishya, a resident of Koinadhara who had reportedly been missing for the past 12 days. The body was discovered around 11:15 am after locals noticed human legs protruding from a sack and alerted the police.

According to reports, Baishya’s family identified her body and had previously lodged a missing person complaint. Suspicions of murder have emerged, but the exact cause of death remains unconfirmed. Dispur Police have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding her death.
