Woman Killed in Wild Elephant Attack in Tinsukia

A 56-year-old woman was trampled to death by a wild elephant in Tinsukia district on Thursday after the animal reportedly strayed from the flood-hit Dibru-Saikhowa National Park. Forest officials believe flooding forced the elephant out of its habitat, while authorities have launched an inquiry and assured compensation to the victim’s family.
