Women’s Groups Stage Dharna in Dima Hasao Seeking Justice for Rape Victim

On October 6, women’s organisations and activists staged a dharna outside the Dima Hasao DC office demanding swift justice for a rape victim. Groups including Shakti Mahila Mandal and Dimasa Mothers’ Association called for speedy investigation, strict punishment, and stronger implementation of laws. A memorandum was submitted to Minister Nandita Gorlosa, urging better victim support and awareness drives against gender violence.
