Worker Dies in Accident at Ethanol Plant Construction Site in Darrang

A worker died, and two others were injured after falling from a 25-meter height at the Kamakhya Bio Fuel Pvt Ltd’s ethanol plant construction site in Singimari village, Darrang district. The deceased has been identified as Sariful Islam from Barpeta. The incident has sparked concerns among workers about inadequate safety measures and medical facilities. Workers are demanding compensation for the victims. A company representative admitted safety lapses and promised improvements and compensation as per workers’ rights.
