Youth Allegedly Murdered by Family in Assam’s Dibrugarh

In a shocking incident in Assam’s Dibrugarh, a 22-year-old youth named Hirakjyoti Dutta was allegedly killed by his family members. The incident occurred in Bakul Kath village, on the outskirts of Dibrugarh city. Sources indicate that Hirakjyoti’s parents and younger brother attacked him with a sharp weapon while he was sleeping, leading to his death.

Hirakjyoti, employed at Blue Dart, was reportedly subjected to physical and mental abuse by his family for an extended period. The locals believe his murder was premeditated. In response, Lahowal Police have arrested his parents, Manoj and Pallabi Dutta, along with his younger brother, on suspicion of the crime.
