Youth Attempts Murder of Woman in Guwahati; Victim Hospitalized with Severe Injuries

A terrifying incident occurred in Guwahati’s Beltola Survey area where a youth attempted to kill a young woman with a knife on Thursday. The attack took place at an apartment and involved a victim who works at B Borooah Cancer Institute. According to sources, the assailant, identified as Amit Bhowmick, inflicted grievous injuries on the woman. She was rushed to a private hospital and is currently undergoing treatment. Notably, the victim had lodged a complaint against the accused for stalking her two days prior at Dispur Police Station. The investigation is ongoing.
