₹13 Crore Morphine Seized in Assam, One Held

A joint operation by Cachar Police, Sribhumi Police and Assam Rifles led to the seizure of 8.2 kg of morphine, valued at around ₹13 crore, at Badarpur Ghat in Sribhumi district.

The drugs were allegedly concealed in a secret chamber inside a vehicle’s fuel tank. One person was apprehended, while further investigation is underway to trace the source and intended destination of the consignment.
