12 people are killed and several injured in a major road accident in Golaghat

In the Golaghat area of Assam on Wednesday morning, at least 12 people lost their lives and 25 more suffered serious injuries.

The incident happened in the Golaghat district’s Balijan area, close to Dergaon.

Reports state that the accident happened when a 45-person passenger bus collided with an approaching dumper truck carrying coal.

The drivers of both vehicles died instantly during the tragic incident.

Serious Injured were referred to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH), while those with minor injuries were rushed to Dergaon Civil Hospital.
