14-Year-Old House Help Dies by Suicide in Jorhat

A 14-year-old girl, working as a house help in Jorhat, died by suicide on Wednesday. She had expressed her desire to leave to her mother on Monday. Her relatives arrived to find she had already taken her life. The couple who employed her have been taken into custody, and police have sent the body for a post-mortem. Legal action is being pursued against the couple under the Labour Law Act.
