29 APSC Scam Accused Dismissed by Assam Govt After HC Ruling

The Assam government has dismissed 29 probationary officers accused in the APSC cash-for-jobs scam. This follows a Gauhati High Court order allowing the government to issue fresh, simplified dismissal orders citing the accused as “not fit for confirmation.” Around 20 more accused may also face similar action after departmental proceedings. Earlier procedural lapses had led the court to partially set aside previous dismissal orders.
