843 Road Traffic Accidents Reported in Assam During Durga Puja

During Durga Puja (October 8-13), Assam saw 843 road traffic accidents, with the highest number of cases (191) reported on October 11. Sonitpur district recorded the most accidents (66), followed by Kamrup (Rural) (60) and Golaghat (57). Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) handled 120 accident cases, with most victims aged 20-30. Tragically, one patient was brought dead.
