92 High Schools Upgraded to Higher Secondary Level Across Assam

The Assam government has upgraded 92 high schools to higher secondary schools in 29 districts, raising the total to 1,130. Most new higher secondary schools will offer only the arts stream, with a few exceptions offering science as well. No new teacher posts or financial grants will be created for these schools.
