They successfully apprehended Abdul Khalek, a notorious poacher, during a night-time operation in the village of Gorumoradoloni within the sanctuary. Khalek’s arrest led to the seizure of firearms, including a .303 rifle and a 7.65 pistol, highlighting the grave danger he posed to wildlife and the sanctuary’s inhabitants.
