Major Drug Bust in Assam: Over 2 Lakh Yaba Tablets Seized

In a joint operation conducted by the Special Task Force (STF) Assam and Karimganj Police, a massive quantity of Yaba tablets was seized in the Lamajuar area under Badarpur Police Station on Wednesday at around 4 p.m. The operation, led by IG Parthasarathi Mahanta and SP Partha Protim Das, uncovered approximately 2,20,000 tablets worth Rs. 66 crores hidden in secret compartments of a Bolero vehicle’s backlights.

Three individuals, identified as Khairul Hussain, Mamon Miya, and Nabir Hussain from Tripura, were arrested in connection with the seizure. The authorities have initiated a further investigation into the case.
