Three Assam Pilgrims Die During Hajj in Saudi Arabia

Amid Eid festivities, three people from Assam lost their lives in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, while performing Hajj. The deceased are Jarina Begum from Barpeta district, Salaha Begum Barbhuiya from Hailakandi district, and Saif Uddin Barbhuiya from Cachar district.

Jarina Begum fell ill during the pilgrimage and died in the hospital. The causes of death for the other two individuals are currently unknown. Hajj, one of the largest religious gatherings and one of the five pillars of Islam, attracts millions of pilgrims annually.
