Families Reject Bodies of Suspected Militants, Demand Justice

The families of three suspected militants killed by police near the Assam-Mizoram border on July 17 have refused to accept their bodies. They claim it was an alleged custodial killing and demand an independent investigation. The Hmar community protested in Hmarkhawlien village, submitting a memorandum to the Chief Minister, seeking justice and an independent probe into the incident.
