Lakhimpur AAUA Urges Assam Government to Revive Dying Industries and Address Unemployment

The Lakhimpur district committee of the All Assam Unemployed Association (AAUA) has urged the Assam government to revive the state’s struggling industries and establish small-scale industries to engage unemployed youths. The AAUA highlighted the severe unemployment problem in Assam, with over 50 lakh unemployed individuals. They called for the government to provide subsidized loans to help youths start small-scale industries and ensure 90% employment of locals in central and semi-central industries in the state.
