12 Staff Transferred After Student’s Death at Assam School

Following a Class 9 student’s death at Padumpukhuri High School in Sipajhar, 12 staff members, including the principal-in-charge, have been transferred for negligence. Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu confirmed the action, adding that the principal of Burhinagar Senior Secondary School will now oversee Padumpukhuri High School. An inquiry has been launched by the School Education Department alongside the ongoing police investigation.
