Majuli-Jorhat Bridge Construction to Resume Soon

The Majuli-Jorhat bridge construction is set to resume as the Centre considers issuing a fresh tender. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is personally overseeing the issue. The project stalled after the previous contractor, UP State Bridge Corporation Limited, left the site. The two-lane bridge, costing Rs 650 crore, is expected to be completed by December 2025.
