Assam CM Launches ₹83.96 Cr Smart Street Lighting Project in Guwahati

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated Phase I of the Smart Street Lighting System in Guwahati, featuring 11,000 energy-efficient LED lights across 1,000 roads. The ₹83.96 crore project includes a central control and monitoring system for efficient energy use, auto-dimming after midnight, and real-time tracking. The initiative aims to enhance safety and reduce power wastage, with plans to expand coverage to 20,000+ lights.
