Assam’s Devajit Saikia Appointed ICC Board Director

Advocate General Devajit Saikia has been appointed as a Board Director of the International Cricket Council (ICC), representing the BCCI. He assumed his role at the ICC headquarters in Dubai. Saikia, currently the Joint Secretary of the BCCI, expressed gratitude for the support from ICC Chairman Jay Shah. A former General Secretary of the Assam Cricket Association, Saikia’s appointment highlights Assam’s growing presence in global cricket. His cricket journey began in 1984, and he later represented East Zone in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. This milestone marks a proud achievement for both Saikia and Assam.
