DYFI Condemns Assam’s Sudden TET Syllabus Change

The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) has criticized Assam’s Education Department for abruptly altering the TET syllabus. The changes, introduced less than a month before the exam, shift focus to mathematics, general knowledge, and current affairs instead of subject-specific content. DYFI called it arbitrary and irresponsible, accusing the government of disregarding candidates’ preparation and undermining teaching expertise. The organization demanded a rollback, urging the department to prioritize fair recruitment based on subject competence.
