Guwahati Police Arrest Five in Grand Theft Auto Operation

Guwahati police arrested five individuals involved in a statewide vehicle theft operation. The Crime Branch acted on intelligence reports to apprehend the suspects, who have been stealing parked vehicles for years.

The accused are identified as Raju Das, Montu Barman, Junmoni Deka, Raju Deka, and Jayanta Haloi. The gang is suspected of operating across Assam and possibly in other Northeast regions. Investigations into cross-border connections are ongoing.
