Huge Narcotics Haul Seized in Cachar, Drug Smuggler Arrested

Cachar Police, in collaboration with the STF, seized 60,000 Yaba tablets and 125 grams of suspected heroin in a raid on Saturday night. The operation, led by STF IGP Partha Sarathi Mahanta and Cachar SP Numal Mahatta, intercepted a motorbike in Silkuri. The drugs, worth Rs 20 crore, were being smuggled for distribution across the country. The arrested smuggler, Sahil Hussain, is from Kabuganj, Cachar. Investigations are ongoing to dismantle the trafficking network.
