NFR to Resume Regular Train Numbers from January 2025
Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will reinstate regular train numbers for all 60 passenger train pairs starting January 2025. This decision, approved by the Railway Board, ends the temporary ‘0’ numbering system introduced during COVID-19.
Trains will operate with their original numbers and schedules across divisions: Tinsukia (4 pairs), Lumding (19 pairs), Rangiya (10 pairs), Alipurduar (6 pairs), and Katihar (21 pairs).
Passengers can check train timings and stoppages on the IRCTC website or NFR’s social media channels before traveling.
