Shillong to Host Two International Football Matches in March

Shillong will host two major international football matches at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in March. India will play against the Maldives on March 19 or 20, followed by an AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Bangladesh on March 25. Meghalaya Football Association President Hamletson Dohling confirmed the proposal from AIFF, which has government approval. AFC officials will inspect the stadium on January 20 to finalize the venue. These matches will spotlight Shillong’s football culture on the global stage.
