Gaurav Gogoi Urges Congress to Strengthen Before 2026 Assam Polls

Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi emphasized that the party must consolidate its strength before uniting the opposition for the 2026 Assam elections. Speaking in Jorhat, he noted that AAP and TMC are yet to join the alliance and stressed the need to prepare at all levels. He criticized the state’s failure in land rights for Mising and tea garden workers, and lack of flood relief measures. Gogoi also highlighted student concerns on education, women’s safety, and misplaced development priorities, stressing the need for better political engagement.
