Bhutan King Visits Assam’s First Multimodal Logistics Park

Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk visited Assam’s Jogighopa to inspect India’s first International Multimodal Logistics Park (MMLP). Assam Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah welcomed him. The King also toured the Inland Water Transport project on the Brahmaputra. The MMLP, near completion under Bharatmala, aims to boost trade with Bhutan and Bangladesh. Tight security was maintained during the visit.
