India Overtakes China as Top iPhone Exporter to the US

India has become the largest exporter of iPhones to the US, shipping 3 million units in April, while China’s shipments fell 76% to 900,000, says Omdia. The shift follows US pressure on Apple to reduce reliance on China and avoid high tariffs. Apple now plans to source most US-sold iPhones from India. Foxconn and Tata Electronics are expanding production in Tamil Nadu. However, experts say fully shifting production to the US is unrealistic due to high costs and supply chain complexity.
