Awareness Drive Launched in Kamakhya to Address Rising Leopard Encounters

Ahead of Ambubachi Mela 2025, Kaziranga Wildlife Society held a poster awareness campaign in Kamakhya to tackle growing human-leopard conflicts caused by urban encroachment. Supported by NGO Prerana, the drive aimed to educate locals on safe leopard encounter responses. The group plans similar efforts in other leopard-prone areas like Adinggiri and Chitrasal Hill.
