Amit Shah Highlights Assam Govt’s Welfare and Development as Pro-Incumbency Factors

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said formal election preparations in Assam haven’t begun but recent local body poll results reflect strong support. He credited welfare schemes like Arunodoi 3.0, Lakhpati Baideo, and pensions for poor, widows, and elderly as key achievements. Shah also noted health, tourism, and infrastructure growth, including new cancer hospitals and a ₹27,000-crore semiconductor plant. He asserted that peace, cultural promotion, and development delivered by BJP would counter any anti-incumbency sentiment.
