Assam Government Reshuffles Top Bureaucrats in Major Overhaul

The Assam government issued a major bureaucratic reshuffle on Tuesday. Key IAS officers including Syedain Abbasi, Kailash Chand Samria, L. Sweety Changsan, and B. Kalyan Chakravarthy were reassigned or relieved from additional charges. Dr Lakshmanan S became Mission Director, NHM Assam. Riju Gogoi was appointed Secretary, Home & Political Department. Adil Khan, Rakesh Kumar, G.D. Tripathi, and others received new departmental roles. The reshuffle affects multiple departments including Irrigation, Excise, Revenue, Industries, Urban Affairs, and Data Policy.
