First Global Assamese Conference to Be Held at IIT Guwahati in January 2026

The inaugural Global Assamese Conference will take place from January 16–18, 2026, at IIT Guwahati, uniting the global Assamese diaspora to discuss Assam’s development and heritage. Organized under the Global Assamese Engagement Initiative, the event will focus on history, sustainable development, and diaspora engagement. Highlights include expert panels, a Global NRA Expert Database launch, and a Community Recognition Award. Early bird registration is open.
