CM Sarma Begins BTR Tour Ahead of BTC Polls, Announces Major Welfare Push
Ahead of the BTC polls, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma began a five-day tour of the Bodoland region to review welfare schemes and development work. He announced the expansion of Orunodoi 3.0 in Udalguri, support for over 1 lakh women under the Mohila Udyomita Scheme, and aid for 2,500 youths through Atmanirbhar Assam. Sarma assured ₹1,500 crore for road projects, new employment and tea garden benefits, and water-sharing projects with Bhutan. The BTC elections are expected before Durga Puja.
