Eviction Drives Will Continue to Protect Assam’s Heritage: BJP State President

BJP Assam president Dilip Saikia affirmed that eviction drives will continue to protect Assam’s land and heritage. He claimed 922 xatra lands are encroached upon and blamed Congress for decades of appeasement politics. Saikia accused Congress of ignoring indigenous rights for vote-bank gains and defended the BJP’s actions under Mission Bhumiputra to restore xatra lands and grant land rights to indigenous people.
