CM Sarma Hails Bodo Accord for Peace and Progress in Bodoland

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the 2020 Bodo Accord for transforming Bodoland from a conflict zone into a peaceful, developing region. Speaking at the “Bodoland Speaks” event, he highlighted five years without violence and emphasized inclusive growth, cultural revival, and dialogue among 26 communities. Sarma stressed shared responsibility for peace and debunked fears of demographic shifts, citing declining fertility rates. He pledged the next five years to economic and social progress, making Bodoland a model for conflict resolution in India.
