JAFA Annual Meet Held in Chirang; BTC Chief Pledges Support, Slams BPF

The Journalist Association for Assam (JAFA) held its annual session on Sunday at Kajalgaon, Chirang, uniting journalists from five districts. BTC Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro praised media’s role in democracy and announced land allotment for a JAFA office in Chirang. He also launched a sharp attack on the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), accusing it of corruption and neglect during its 17-year rule. The event included flag hoisting, tributes to late journalists, and formation of new district committees. Leaders called for journalist unity and commitment to professional ethics.
