3 Die of Encephalitis in Lakhimpur; Health Dept Steps Up Action

Lakhimpur district in Assam has reported three encephalitis-related deaths — one from Japanese Encephalitis (JE) and two from Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES).

So far, 38 patients have recovered, while three JE cases remain under treatment. In response, authorities have intensified fogging operations in affected areas to control mosquito breeding.

Public has been urged to maintain hygiene and report symptoms like high fever and headaches immediately.
