Youth Swept Away as Sessa River Floods Lakhimpur Villages
A youth, Dambaru Harijan from Phutabhog village, was swept away by the overflowing Sessa river in Lakhimpur’s Dhalpur on Thursday. Triggered by heavy rains in Arunachal Pradesh, flash floods submerged croplands and homes, leaving several villages marooned. Areas like Sessa-Mising, Phutabhog, Rangajan, and Naoghuli are worst hit, with families forced to safer places. Rescue efforts are underway, but the victim’s body remains untraced.
