Three Arrested in Nalbari Robbery-Murder Case

Nalbari police have arrested three people, including a young woman, in connection with the brutal robbery and murder of Promod Chandra Barman at his Mohkhuli residence on August 29. The other two accused, Mrinmoy Bezbaruah and Bhaskar Jyoti Deka, have confessed to the crime.

Police recovered a stolen mobile phone and scooter, while two more suspects remain absconding. A case has been registered at Belsor Police Station, and investigations are ongoing.

The incident, where masked men tied up Barman and his wife before killing him, has shocked Nalbari residents, who are demanding stronger security measures.
